Power. Place. Partnership.

Building digital infrastructure in partnership with communities.

We work with business leaders, local officials and community leaders to build a regional industry that creates lasting opportunities for local firms and residents.

Why now

Digital growth needs a broader infrastructure map.

The digital economy depends on physical infrastructure. As demand grows, the question is where that infrastructure can be developed responsibly and what it takes to make a location ready.

  1. Demand meets local realities.

Power, transmission, land, permitting and community priorities shape where digital infrastructure can grow. Each location needs a credible development pathway.

  2. Look beyond established markets.

Braidspan sees potential in regional communities where infrastructure, land and local priorities could support long-term digital investment.

  3. Potential needs coordination.

Those ingredients rarely arrive ready to develop. Utilities, landowners, communities, customers and capital need to come together around a workable plan.

We help regions organize for investment and connect it with local businesses, skills and community priorities.

We bring the
pieces together.

We start with local priorities and assess what a place can offer, what investment would require and how local people and businesses could benefit.

Power

A credible energy pathway.

We work with utilities and commercial partners to assess power availability, infrastructure requirements, funding and delivery timelines.

Place

The right fit for each location.

We examine land, connectivity and local conditions to understand where development could fit and what it would mean for surrounding communities.

Partnership

Connecting regional ambition with commercial opportunity.

We bring local institutions and businesses together with utilities, customers, operators and capital partners to shape commercially viable projects.

From regional opportunity
to local participation.

Our work can begin with a single county or a regional partnership. We assess how its infrastructure, businesses and residents could participate in a wider digital infrastructure industry, and help organize the partnerships to pursue that opportunity.

We connect investment plans with purchasing, hiring and training opportunities that local firms and residents can access.

Our approach

Locally rooted.
Regionally connected.

We connect a region’s priorities and capabilities with the commercial requirements of individual projects. Successive projects can create a continuing market for local firms, workers and training institutions.

Individual projects. A regional industry.

Start at the right scale

Fit development to local infrastructure, commercial requirements and community priorities.

Plan for expansion

Preserve room to grow as infrastructure and customer demand develop.

Build regional connections

Connect individual projects with the firms, skills and institutions that can serve an industry over time.

Local knowledge. Shared capability.

Community priorities · Technical coordination · Partner relationships · Capital alignment

A credible power pathway

Establish how power can be delivered, including the infrastructure required, cost and timing.

Place-specific

Respond to each location’s land, connectivity, infrastructure and community priorities.

Partnership-led

Coordinate the participants whose decisions shape whether a project can progress.

Scalable by design

Phase development as utility capacity, approvals and customer demand allow.

Community & Impact

Built with communities,
not simply in them.

The value we seek to create.

  • Regional opportunity and local investment

Helping more places participate in the digital economy and broaden their tax base, supporting public services and locally determined investment priorities.

  • Skills and local participation

Connecting infrastructure development with practical learning, potential career pathways and opportunities for local businesses.

  • Local knowledge and capacity

Building understanding of infrastructure opportunities, potential benefits and tradeoffs so communities can make informed decisions.

Well-planned digital infrastructure can contribute to schools, emergency services and other local priorities through the tax revenue it generates. The benefits depend on each project and how it is developed.

Every place has different priorities. Energy, water, land and everyday quality of life remain central to the questions we ask together.

Start a community conversation

01Local investment and public benefit

How could this project strengthen the local tax base and support community priorities?

02Energy and infrastructure costs

What does the project require, and who pays?

03Water, land and local resources

Does the project fit the resources of this place?

04Everyday quality of life

What will it mean to live or work nearby?

05Skills and local opportunity

How can local people and businesses participate?

06Transparency and accountability

How will commitments be followed through?

Our approach to engagement

Listen early.

Understand local priorities while meaningful project decisions remain open.

Shape together.

Bring community input into project design, impact assessment and proposed local benefits.

Follow through.

Define responsibilities and track agreed commitments as development progresses.

Our regional focus

A regional industry.
Local opportunity.

We focus on the southeastern United States, looking beyond established technology markets to regions where infrastructure potential, local capabilities and community priorities can support a digital infrastructure industry.

We examine how successive investments could strengthen local businesses, create careers and expand the tax base while protecting the places people call home.

Who we seek to bring together

Prepare local firms for a regional market.

Identify purchasing, hiring and investment opportunities across projects, and connect firms with the requirements and partners needed to compete for work.
